In what might become one of Hollywood's weirdest heists, E! News confirms that the custom Calvin Klein Collection dress made of over 6,000 pearls (that she just wore on Sunday) has been returned to The London Hotel in West Hollywood, where it was originally taken. The L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. stated that at approximately 3 p.m. today, West Hollywood Detectives received a call from a media representative, informing detectives they had received a call from an anonymous caller with information in regards to the stolen Calvin Klein dress. The caller advised detectives that it could be located in an abandoned bathroom on the second floor of the hotel. Detectives responded to the area mentioned in the call and located a black garment bag underneath the counter. Inside the garment bag was a white dress resembling the one worn on Oscar night by Nyong'o. Yesterday afternoon, Mombasa policemen gunned down five suspected thugs along Moi Avenue, Tudor, after learning of their plans to rob a showroom in the area. A deadly thirty minute shoot-out ensued between the police and the armed gang with two pistols, three magazines and twenty five rounds of ammunition being found in the stolen car they were driving in. Speaking after the incidence, Mombasa OCPD Geoffrey Mayek said that he had received information of a vehicle carrying people who were terrorizing citizens hence acting immediately by trailing the suspects before they conducted their trade. THE government is determined to halve urban slums by 2025, according to Zanzibar Second Vice-President, Ambassador Seif Ali Iddi. Presiding over a two-day regional roundtable by the Institute of African Leadership for Sustainable Development (UONGOZI Institute) in Dar es Salaam, Ambassador Iddi said the government is working on a number of strategies to achieve the target. Facilitation of access to credit for urban real estate developers to improve the quality of housing, decreasing the cost of housing in urban and rural and creation of conducive environment for mortgages are some of the strategies the government is pursuing.
