JACKIE CHAN ON SON'S DRUG ARREST: I FEEL ASHAMED AND MY HEART HURTS

May 7, 2015

Hong Kong superstar, Jackie Chan, 61, told The New Paper on Thursday he felt ashamed that his son, Jaycee, 32, served a six-month jail sentence for drug offences last year.
Chan is Singapore's new anti-drug ambassador and made a special appearance at Nanyang Polytechnic today (May7).
He said he felt more compelled to take on this role because his family was also a victim to drugs.
Jaycee was released from jail in February.
Chan said: "I am shocked that this happened to my own family. I feel ashamed and my heart hurts. I will do my best to help others now."
He said his son was afraid to face the media and the world and was in hiding.
Chan added: "However, I told him he needs to be brave because everyone makes mistakes."
